Description
7/20/26 - This is an excellent example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" proofs. It has a lightweight duraluminum or "dural" alloy frame, a rare design feature that was produce by Dürener Metallwerke from 1909. Early dural frames are anodized in dark-blue tone, later they were painted with a black lacquer. This one has retained about 97% of its original finish. There is very minor high edge/muzzle wear, a few small marks and scratches on the slide and front strap, and some small dots of oxidation and minor pitting along the left side of the slide. Fitted with correct black grips and comes with a period-correct wartime finger extension magazine. The bore has great rifling with just very light frosting throughout.
