SOLD - RARE DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Luger (2117 - 16424)

1/6/22 - This is a rare, early US import DWM model 1900 luger with American Eagle crest on the chamber. One of the first Lugers to be offered for sale in the United States. This is the first production model of this variation, made in or around 1900 with early dish toggle. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. This one is in beautiful condition but has been professionally restored. It has retained almost all of its new bluing with areas of very minor wear on some of the high edges and base of the front strap. There are areas of very minor pin-pricking here and there that have been blued-over. Comes with nice grips - some light dings on the left side. Also comes with a proper "Germany" marked magazine. The rifling in the bore is pretty worn with minor pitting throughout.
