Rare, Early Colt Model 1905 Military Rig

1/27/26 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1905 Military, chambered in .45 ACP. This particular gun has an early serial number and was manufactured in 1906. One of only about 6,000 produced. This one comes as a rig with one proper magazine and a scarce Abercrombie & Fitch holster that is marked "Abercrombie & Fitch New York" on the top flap with the "A&F" logo on the closure button. The holster is in excellent condition. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original high polish Colt bluing. There is very little actual finish loss, but there are areas of light spotty oxidation here and there. More noticeable area of oxidation and tiny pitting around the right side of the muzzle. Bright fire-bluing on most of the small parts. Case-hardening on the hammer. Excellent checkered wood grips. The bore is mostly great with strong rifling, but there are areas of light freckling.
