Description
5/12/26 - This is an excellent example of a rare BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi police force in 1944. All matching with a police "Eagle F" proof on the slide. Only about 1,500 of these guns were made. It has a dual-tone finish with a blued barrel and phosphate slide and frame. All matching and comes as a rig with two period-correct magazines (un-proofed) and an un-issued, like-new black leather police holster. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original finish. While there is very little actual finish loss (just hints of wear around the muzzle and front edges of the slide), there is some spotty discoloration on the slide and frame (common for phosphate finishes). Fitted with appropriate black plastic Mauser grips. The bore is like-new. De-cocker is functional.
