Description

6/26/20 - This is a super rare Mauser P.38 in exceptional condition, one of only ~2850 ever produced. It's a dual-tone pistol with 'ac 44' marked slide but Mauser proofed frame, indicating slide was produced at FN factory and assembly completed there. The slide legend does appear to have been a weak strike that was redone, but appears fully original. It's all matching and original with just a bit of high edge wear on slide and muzzle, and two minor areas of finish loss on the right side of the slide. Mint bore and proper mechanics, including de-cocker. Excellent grips. Blued barrel but all other parts have phosphate finish.
