Description
10/1/24 - This is a very rarely encountered Stevens Savage Model 620 trench shotgun, made as a part of US military procurement during WWII. Unlike its M520 counterpart, this was a hammerless model, very much like Winchester M12. It was produced in trench configuration in limited numbers and is very difficult for a collector to acquire. This particular gun is a textbook example, with all the correct military markings, original finish and all original parts including the bayonet lug and heat shield. Canfield reports that fewer than 10,000 military trench examples were ordered during WW2. This particular example is in good condition with minor oxidation to the receiver, and standard finish loss on the mag tube from the action. Receiver and barrel both have the flaming bomb proofs, and the receiver is 'U.S.' marked. The wood parts are in great shape with standard dings and scrapes but no cracks. Good bore, just has a hint of frost. Comes with a period leather sling.Specifications
