Description
6/22/26 - From the collection of Tom Whiteman. Will include a COA. This is a rare Walther PP made in 1938. During this time period, the Walther factory was experimenting with different finishes and materials. This one has a scarce, lightweight duraluminum alloy frame and a shiny chrome-plated finish. We have recorded three other examples with the exact same attributes in the same serial range as this gun. This particular example also comes fitted with rare and experimental white or ivory-colored weighted bakelite grips (a few tiny hairline cracks on both sides). Comes with a period-correct Walther banner-only magazine with nickel plating to match the gun. The gun itself shows virtually no actual finish loss, but there is light surface scratching throughout (typical) and a couple of small dots of oxidation on the left side of the slide. Minty bore.
