Description
5/14/26 - This is a very rare, original Colt Army Special in .41c that was factory engraved in 1916. Very few factory engrved examples were produced, especially in this caliber. Only ~15,000 Army Specials were ever produced in .41 long colt, and obviously just a tiny fraction of that number were engraved. The Colt archives letter indicates this gun was shipped to a hardware company in Pueblo, Colorado with ivory stocks. However, the revolver currently has gorgeous steer-head mother of pearl grips, but the maker is lost to history. The original bluing on the revolver rates at around 90% with wear/patina on the grip frame, and high edge wear elsewhere. Shiny, strong bore. Good timing/mechanics. Comes with a wood presentation case.
