9/1/26 - For sale is an incredible combination of autographs placed on one photo, showing a bi-plane in flight. The autographs are of 5 top aces which are amongts the most famous names in aerial history; all belonging to the very succesfull fighter unit JG-52.
In total these 5 aces reached the unimaginable number of 1,377 aerial victories!
The following fighter pilots placed their signatures on the photo:
- Erich "Bubi" Hartmann; the most succesful fighter pilot in aerial history with 352 victories
- Gerhard "Gerd" Barkhorn; 301 victories
- Günther Rall; 275 victories
- Wilhelm "Willi" Batz; 237 victories
- Hermann Graf; 212 victories
The photo is a large sized photo and measures 38,2 x 28,6 cm (app. 15 x 11.3 inches). It is on a hard cover carton and looks to have been framed at one time. It will look impressive when framed again.
