9/29/26 - This is a very rare and desirable FN Browning High Power that was part of a very small Finnish contract. Per Vanderlinden's book on FN pistols, Finland used nearly every FN handgun over the years in their attempts to defend themselves against their Russian neighbors. With the outbreak of the Winter War, Finland requested a supply of High Powers with shoulder-stocks on a short schedule. Only ~2,400 such examples were shipped, all in serial range 11,000-15,000. This pistol is in the proper serial range. Finnish "SA" marking on the left side of the frame and on the base of the magazine. It is all matching. Import mark on the butt of the frame. The original finish rates roughly 85%. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, spotty wear on the front strap, dulling on the back strap, some light spotty wear on the right side of the slide, and some light scratches here and there. Fitted with proper wood grips - minor bruising and wear on both sides. Excellent bore with strong rifling. The front sight is painted.
