SOLD - Rare Guide Lamp M3 Grease Gun - Dummy SMG

5/5/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare M3 Grease gun that was made by Guide Lamp for use during World War II. The receiver has been welded and a block is installed, rendering the gun inoperable. The mag release and trigger still move/function but the stock is also pinned in place. The receiver is marked M3 and has the crossed cannon cartouche proof intact. The M3 was intended as a replacement for the Thompson, and began to enter front line service in mid 1944. Due to delays caused by production issues and approved specification changes, the M3 saw limited combat use in World War II. The M3A1 variant was used in the Korean War and later conflicts. The finish on this one was restored at some point but looks great. Magazine is marked 'SPW GL C-153427'.
