SOLD - RARE Gustloff Werke K98 - Long Side Rail Sniper

Description

4/17/18 - This is a super rare, all original K98 Long Side Rail Sniper rifle, coded BCD 4, with original scope. The gun is all matching and correct with phosphate finish on the receiver/barrel/bolt/safety and blued barrel bands. LSR sniper rifles had a thicker left receiver wall milled at the factory to accommodate a long side rail scope base, which was attached with pins and screws. In addition, they had a checkered buttplate, a special modified sniper safety lever and a stock, specifically inletted for the scope base on the left side of the receiver. This rifle has all of the above characteristics and all the proper proof marks/waffentamts on the gun and on the scope base. The finish is all original and overall excellent, with some thinning on the barrel. Bore is very good and the stock is excellent with a strong cartouche on the right side. The scope is all original and the optics are crystal clear.  The lens cap is a reproduction.
