Description
6/25/26 - From the collection of Tom Whiteman. A COA will be provided. This is a rare and interesting Luger. It was put together almost entirely using armorers field replacement parts. The gun has no serial numbers (except for a "14" on the safety lever), a blank toggle, and a 1940-dated chamber. "S/42" armorers replacement proofs on the side plate and inside of the rear toggle link and "42" code on the left side of the barrel. It even comes with a "42" code armorers replacement magazine. There is a "Stick Eagle 63" Mauser proof on the outside of the rear toggle link and an "Eagle Su 20" proof on the extractor. Interestingly enough, there is also an "Eagle 623" Steyr military acceptance proof on the barrel, something we've never seen before. Many of the parts are tight-fitting - this is common for these guns, as they weren't hand-fitted at the factory. The gun's original finish rates about 95% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, some small surface scratches here and there, and spotty patina on the grip straps. The grip panels are both numbered "44". Mint bore.
