Description
2/4/22 - This is a very interesting Kongsberg M1914 rig with documentation showing it was brought back following WW2 by a U.S. GI. The pistol itself is one of only ~2,800 Kongsberg M1914 pistols produced. It has matching numbers throughout, except for the bushing and recoil spring plug. These are original Kongsberg parts though, match each other, and are only ~130 digits off so very like a true field replacement. Matching numbers include the barrel and recoil spring guide, as well as the rest of the externally visible numbers. The finish is original but obviously worn thin throughout. The paperwork states that the gun was brought back in July of 1945 by Kenneth Bridges. The original customs certificate is included, as are photocopies of other paperwork such as Bridges' honorable discharge paperwork. The paperwork indicates the rig was brought back with holster, belt, German bayonet and metal. All of those items are present but we don't have a way of verifying the items mentioned are the items offered with this pistol. An American 1911 holster, belt, mag pouch and two spare magazines are included. As is an original German K98 bayonet and scabbard.
