Description
10/11/19 - This is a super interesting example of a known P.38 variation from the very end of the war. The pistol has no serial, and was assembled from remaining parts at the end of the war. The frame is 'ac' proofed with the Walther inspection mark, and the locking block is also Walther. The slide and barrel are Mauser marked, with 'byf 44' on the left side of the slide, but again, no serial. The right side of the slide doesn't have the third firing proof, denoting it never passed all the way through parts inspection. The gun has minimal wear, just minor thinning of the front strap and a little bit of finish loss on the top plate. Bore is near-mint. Terrific brown grips.Specifications
