Description
12/3/25- For sale is a rare 1941 Johnson bayonet with leather scabbard and frog. The Johnson rifle was developed in the 1930s as a competitor for the M1 Garand but was not fully adopted, making the rifle and its accessories rare pieces of WWII history. The bayonet has some wear and loss of finish, particularly on the raised surfaces of the triangular blade There is no handle but the bayonet has been tested and it will fit securely onto an original Johnson rifle. The scabbard and frog are intact, with only a small hole towards the tip of the scabbard. There is mild age-related wear but no other noticeable damage. The upper frog is stamped with the serial number 4218. The leather is flexible and not brittle. Overall in excellent condition.
