SOLD - K Date Mauser Luger (1088 - 16083)

Description

6/14/21 - This is a very nice example of a rare "K Date" Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1934. It is mostly matching, has the proper K Date military proofs throughout, and has the proper "S/42" Mauser factory code. We believe the side plate has been refinished. The rear toggle pin is not numbered. The hold open is not numbered or "S" proofed. So some parts have been replaced. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is very minor thinning on the straps and areas of minor wear on the left side of the frame, side plate, side rails, on the barrel, and around the muzzle. Spotty oxidation throughout, most noticeable on the straps, left side of the frame, and on the barrel. Comes with excellent matching grips and a period-correct K Date magazine that is mismatched to the gun. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling and some areas of minor freckling.
