Description
9/21/26 - This is a rare, later-war Walther PPK issued to the Nazi military in 1943, most likely to an officer. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 359" military acceptance proofs. This one also comes fitted with a nice late-war black bakelite grip. There is a custom inscription scratched onto both the slide and spine of the magazine that reads "Oberfelder. i. W. Hermann Janssen". We did some research on the name and were not able to find any information. It looks authentic, and we have no reason to believe this inscription was not applied during the war. If research turns up any information on this officer, one could significantly add to the provenance of this piece. The gun has retained about 97% of its original wartime finish with just minor muzzle wear and some small scratches and marks on the slide. Comes with a period-correct wartime finger extension magazine. Minty bore.
