Description
8/20/26 - This is a rare Walther PPK that was part of a Luftwaffe Contract order in 1941. These pistols are identified by high-polish blue and "Waffen 359" proofs on slide and frame. The waffen-proof on the frame of this one has been ground off. It does not come with a matching-numbered magazine but falls in the middle of solid serial range of other Luftwaffe-issued guns. There were only 10,000 Army PPKs produced with WaA359 on frame and slide and high-polish blue, so presumably only a small fraction of those were diverted to the Luftwaffe contract. The finish on this gun is obvious very worn, but you can still see some of the original high polish bluing on some of the frame and in the crevices. There is obvious heavy finish loss and spotty discoloration on the whole slide. Fitted with a brown Walther grip - crack on the right side and some chipping along the top edge of the left side. Comes with a proper wartime magazine (not numbered). The bore has great rifling with some minor frosting in the grooves.
