Description
3/26/26 - This is a rare, interesting Mauser C96 that was originally issued to the Imperial German military during WWI, as evidenced by the Imperial proof on the right side of the slide and Prussian Eagle on the left side. It was later sent to the Reichs Finanz Verwaltung (RFV), which was Germany's treasury and tax department and was responsible for the collection of taxes. There is an "RFV 411" marking on the left side of the frame. It comes with a period-correct but un-numbered wood stock. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original bluing. The majority of the wear is on the underside of the barrel, but there is also general high edge wear, some thinning on the front strap, and a few light scratches and marks here and there. Very nice bore with great rifling. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips.
