Description
5/26/26 - This is a rare, early Mauser C96 Broomhandle rig with conehammer feature, one of ~13,000 produced. This pistol dates to 1897 and qualifies as an antique. No FFL required. It is all matching and comes with its matching numbered stock. There is a "Star 4279" marking on the right side of the barrel and a "Star Z 79" marking on the right grip panel. We assume these to be unit markings, but we're unsure of the exact significance. It also comes with two boxes of original ammo and one stripper clip. The gun has retained about 94-95% of its original bluing. There is general high edge wear, some spotty wear around the muzzle (especially on the underside of the barrel), some spotty wear on the front edge of the frame, some light freckling on the left side of the frame, and some spotty oxidation on the grip straps. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
