Description

3/30/21 - This is a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is a first-year Mauser production, where only 19,000 of these wer made, making it only slightly more common than the zero series or Nazi-marked svw 45's. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military proofs. It has retained roughly 65% of its original finish. There is thinning in the finish throughout, most noticeable on the front strap, barrel, and left side and top of the slide. There is spotty oxidation and minor pitting on the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a correct magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling with minor freckling throughout. The de-cocker is functional but a little tough to push down.
