Description
5/13/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is a first-year Mauser production, where only 19,000 of these were made, making it only slightly more common than the zero series or Nazi-marked svw 45's. This one is matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military proofs. It comes as a rig with one "Eagle 135" marked Mauser magazine, one jvd magazine, and a nice 1942-dated black leather holster. The gun has retained about 93% of its characteristic dusty blue finish. There is minor muzzle wear, minor general high edge wear, a hint of thinning on the front strap, and a small area of discoloration at the right front of the slide. Fitted with blackish-brown bakelite grips. The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable frosting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
