Description
8/2/23 - This is a minty example of a rare Colt ACE that was issued to the U.S. military in 1945. This particular gun was part of one of the last deliveries of these guns, about 1,500 in total, in August of 1945. It has a rare "JSB" inspector proof, which stands for John S. Begley, the final WW2 inspector. The pistol was arsenal refurbished after the war, as indicated by the RIA stamp on the right side of the frame. It was reparkerized at this time, and that finish is in excellent condition with minimal handling wear. Mint bore. Excellent, sharply checkered grips. Magazine is marked 'COLT / 22 ACE L.R. / SERVICE MODEL' on the base. The listing also includes a buckle that appears to be a 4th place prize for an army shooting match.Specifications
