Description
2/10/26 - This is a mint example of a rare .22 Caliber Walther PP sold in the US commercial market around 1938. All matching with the proper "Crown N" proofs. This one is especially desirable because it has an "A.F. Stoeger Inc. New York" retailer marking along the left side of the slide, indicating it was distributed by AF Stoeger in the US. "Made in Germany" export marking on the web of the trigger guard. It comes with a period-correct .22 Caliber box (not numbered), cleaning rod with wax paper, Walther cleaning tin (with oiler bottle and cleaning hair still wrapped in its original plastic), one finger extension magazine, and one spare flat bottom magazine. The gun shows essentially no actual finish loss, just a few tiny marks on the left side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct black bakelite grips. Mint bore. The hold-open does not work reliably with either magazine - this is probably just from dried old grease in the internals.
