Description

7/25/23 - This is a very rare Remington Rand 1911A1 with special "No.ERRS 79" serial number on the right side of the frame behind the slide stop hole. Remington Rand manufactured approximately 100 pistols for product improvement experiments. These pistols had the distinctive "Experimental Remington Rand Series" (ERRS) markings and serial number. Most of the "ERRS" marked pistols were eventually presented to Remington Rand officials or employees. This one is in near-mint condition, with just a minor "idiot mark" on the frame. Proper HS barrel with mint bore. The pistol comes in the original shipping box, along with the original wax paper and two spare magazines. Box is hand numbered #79 on the lid.
