Description
7/13/26 - This is a beautiful, near-mint example of a very rare "Zero Series" Walther P.38, manufactured in 1945. They are called a zero series because the serial numbers start with a zero. Only about 1,750 of these were produced. This one is all matching and has one "Eagle 359" military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never actually issued before the Walther factory was liberated. It has the proper features of this variation, such as rough machine marks, a late-war cog-style hammer, and casting flaws on the front strap (something we see on many of these). It has retained nearly all of its original finish with just the slightest hints of wear on the front edges of the slide and a hint of thinning on the front strap. Fitted with reddish phenolic grips and comes with a scarce, late-war, "U" marked magazine. Like-new bore. De-cocker is functional.
