SOLD - Rare, Minty Walther PP Rig - SS Contract

8/23/22 - This is a near mint example of an SS contract Walther PP from 1940. The original finish rates in the 98 -99% range. The slide are numbered to match and in the known SS contract range for 1940. Comes with a minty black Akah holster that is also correct for an SS rig. The bore is shiny and bright. Finally it comes with two matching magazines. But now for the bad news.... or at least a significant caution. The magazines are correct for a 1940 issued gun but we are not sure if the matching mags were done in the factory. The font and the look of the numbering is very good. However, they might be "forced matched", meaning not factory numbered. I have studied them under magnification and can only see very slight differences between these and another from the same time period. Please study the photos carefully and see what you think. Priced accordingly given the fact that this would be a $6500 rig if we were sure about the magazines.
