Description

11/22/17 - This is a scarce Navy Mauser model 1934 that is documented in Jan Still's Axis Pistols (pg. 171).  This is the rarest of the four Navy 1934 variations - varation 2.  There were only 3,000 of this variation produced, compared to at least 6,000 for all the others.  It has Eagle/M engraved on right front panel, and O. property number on front strap.  This one is mentioned specifically by serial in Axis Pistols, and is all correct and original.  Crown/U proofs show it was made in the 1930's.  High-polish finish rates in the low 90's with some thinning and patina in areas of the frame and slide.  Grip shows multiple dings throughout but has no chips or cracks.  Mauser banner magazine is serialized on the base plate but to a different pistol.  Bore is very strong with only minor frosting.
