Description
8/3/26 - This is an all original example of a rare and highly desirable Colt M1911 that was manufactured in 1913 and issued to the U.S. Navy. Only 6,000 pistols were shipped to the U.S. Navy in 1913, and only ~18,000 produced for that branch in total from 1912-1918. It has a correct Colt " H P" barrel and has retained roughly 75% of its original bluing. There is honest finish loss throughout, concentrated mostly on the grip straps and near the high edges of the slide. Spotty wear and patina on the slide as well. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper lanyard loop two-tone magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
