Description
1/6/26 - This is an excellent example of a rare Kongsberg Model 1914 pistol that was issued to the German Military in 1945. Colt licensed out production of the 1911 to Kongsberg Vaapenfabrik in Norway, who in 1945 produced less than 1,000 of this waffen variation according to Jan Still's book. This particular piece falls in the documented serial range of 29261-30523, where only ~100 have been reported. It is all matching other than the safety catch which is not numbered. The barrel is original. The pistol retains its original finish with visible handling scratches on the surface. The finish is fading towards the muzzle from holster use. The grips show light wear but in good shape. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The holster is in great shape with some of the metal parts having some verdigris. No tears or cracks in the leather.
