Description
4/29/25 - This is a scarce Luger holster made out of pigskin leather. In desperate need of supplies late into WWII, the Germans began using pigskin leather in their holsters. These will almost always be from 1941 or 1942, with this particular example being 42-dated. The back leather is maker stamped "DLU", indicating that it was manufactured by Lüneschloss Ewald, and is also properly waffen-proofed below the date. Markings are surprisingly crisp for pigskin examples, where they often will blend with the naturally larger pores in the material. Great overall condition, with no major issues or damage. The exterior leather is firm, but retains desirable pliability. However, there are handling marks and mild surface stripping of the material here and there, particularly at the bottom portion of the front side. Clean interior leather and no stitching issues.Specifications
