Rare Police Sauer Behorden Rig - Two Matching Magazines

5/26/26 - This is a rare, complete rig featuring a rare J.P. Sauer & Sohn Behördenmodell (Authority Model) pistol, chambered in 7.65mm. Serving as the final iteration and evolution of the Sauer Model 1913 before the introduction of the 38H, the Behörden was marketed specifically to law enforcement and features a distinctive integrated trigger safety. This specific example was issued to the Nazi-era German police forces, firmly evidenced by the crisp "Sunburst K" police acceptance stamp located on the left side of the trigger guard web. It also carries standard commercial Crown/N proof marks visible on the right side of the frame and the rear cocking knob.

What truly elevates this rig is the inclusion of TWO original, factory-matching magazines. Both magazine base plates are correctly marked "S&S. Cal. 7.65." and are distinctly stamped with "375" on the toe, perfectly matching the last three digits of the pistol's serial number (207375). Locating a Behörden model with a single matching magazine is difficult; securing an example that retains both original matched magazines is exceptionally rare.

The pistol itself is all-matching and retains roughly 85-90% of its original high-polish factory bluing. The finish loss is primarily standard handling wear relegated to the front and rear grip straps, which show typical thinning and have transitioned to a smooth brown patina. There is also minor, expected edge wear around the muzzle and along the high lines of the slide. The original black bakelite grips featuring the intertwined "SS" (Sauer & Sohn) monogram are in excellent, period-correct condition with no notable cracks or chips. The bore is bright and minty. Completing the rig is a well-preserved, period-correct black leather police flap holster (single belt loop)
