Description
2/12/26 - This is a rare Remington UMC 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. Of the three manufacturers of U.S. Military 1911 pistols, the Remington-UMC is the least common with only ~21,000 produced. This pistol has the proper E.E.C. inspectors marking on the left side of the frame. Major Edmond E. Chapman was responsible for the entire Rem-UMC production. Below his mark is an Eagle/28 proof. The slide is marked with the 'E' above the firing pin stop. The barrel is a replacement marked "S" and "P". This particular gun has been completely re-blued with very little actual finish loss. However, there are areas of pin-pinpricking under the bluing here and there and some spots of very light spotty oxidation. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine.
