Description
11/30/24 - For sale is a rare Kar 98b made by Simson during the Weimar Era after WW1. Germany would be restricted from making long rifles due to the Treaty of Versailles so they would instead label the long rifles they produced as "Karabiner" or Carbine as they were allowed under the treaty. The side of the receiver is stamped "Karab. 98 b." The rifle overall is in great condition with the receiver and barrel retaining the majority of its bluing. There are spots of finish loss around the muzzle and a few spots on the receiver. The top of the receiver is not stamped with a maker mark like a standard German rifle. The right side of the rifle is stamped "S" for Simson. The stock had been converted from a G98 to accommodate Kar98 style slings. The bolt is a replacement and is Nazi Era with Eagle 26 stamps but no serial number. The bore is in great condition being bright with good rifling.Specifications
