Description
10/23/25 - This is a hard-to-find Springfield contract 1911. There were only about 30,000 of these made and few are found in such nice condition with all original parts. All of the parts are properly marked with an "S" proof stamp including all of the small parts. It also comes with a correct Springfield magazine with the fold-over metal base and brass reinforcement. The gun was made in 1916. It has retained 60-70% of its original finish with honest wear throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - small chip in the bottom left corner of the left panel. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
