Description
4/6/23 - This is a super early Winchester M1 Garand, one of the first 1,000 ever produced! Made in February of 1941. All manufacturer marked parts are produced by Winchester, with flush nut rear sight. The stock is a slightly later Winchester replacement, as a serial this early should've had a RS inspector's mark rather than a WB. The metal finish is original throughout, with thinning on the gas tube and side of the receiver. The gun has an uncut op rod, and battle range marked rear sight. Stock is WRA marked but has a notable crack along the top of the wrist. The stock also has been repaired with wood putty underneath the buttplate, with one of the screw holes replaced which is causing the buttplate to be slightly crooked. The bore has pronounced rifling but wear and frost throughout. ME is a 6.5, TE is a 3. Comes with an original leather sling.Specifications
