Description
3/8/21 - This is a fantastic example of a rare Swiss K31/42 sniper rifle from 1942. . A variant of Swiss K31 straight-pull service rifle, these were the first Swiss sniper rifle designed during WWII and used a 1.8x side mount sniper scope with a folding front objective head that folds down on to the side of the stock for protection during transport. The scope was designed this way to keep the snipers head down. It has the standard Swiss wide, inverted "v" reticle and the optics on this particular example are clear/excellent. It also features an adjustable sight with slider to compensate for bullet drop. The rifle features matching numbers on the barrel, receiver and magazine. Terrific bluing with just a hint of surface rust under the front sight but minimal bluing loss overall. The stock is in similar condition with only a few minor dings or nicks. No import mark. Terrific bore.Specifications
