Rare, Terrific British No.4 Mk I(T) Enfield Sniper Rifle Grouping

5/12/25 - This is an incredible No.4 Mk I (T) sniper rifle rig. These rifles were the standard British sniper rifles developed in the late 1930s and used until the early 1960s. The receiver side wall is marked "No. 4 Mk I T", and the butt socket is marked "M47C/1945/U36059/TR". The rifle is matching numbers throughout, and was originally telescope ready as it has the serial of the original scope on the wrist. The scope mount has the matching serial of the rifle on it, and the serial number of the scope is correctly numbered and matching on the wrist of the rifle. This original No. 32 MKIII scope is marked "TEL.STG.No 32 MKIII/O.S. 2039 A/No 20282/broad arrow proof". Crystal clear optics. It is fitted with its original, correct wartime smooth semi-pistol grip stock with the standard proof marks, matching serial number on the forestock and correctly stamped "S51" on behind the pistol grip area. The buttstock is fitted with a wartime metal buttplate with butt trap compartment and the correct screw-on cheekpiece. Scarce metal scope case. Comes complete with an original WWII issue green wooden storage/shipping container that is numbered to a different rifle. The transit case does show some damage, such as torn carry straps and minor wood damage. Repro canvas sniper sling.
