Description

10/26/21 - This is a desirable Union Switch & Signal M1911A1 from 1943 that was released to the public through the CMP program. US&S is the rarest World War II maker of 1911A1s aside from Singer, all made in 1943. This one has original dulite finish throughout with general thinning all over, especially on the slide and grip safety. Proper RCD inspector mark on frame, as well as P proofs on slide and frame. Correct HS barrel with strong rifling but a little frost in the grooves. Grips are original and show minor handling wear but no cracks. The pistol does have the later mainspring housing, as well as incorrect barrel bushing (no concentric circles). Risdon magazine and comes with a Warren Leather Goods holster. Also included is the original CMP certificate of authenticity, manual, lock and CMP hard case.
