Description
8/26/26 - This is a rare Walther Mod HP that originally manufactured to be sold in the commercial market in the 1940's, and then diverted for issue to the Nazi military - first delivery, one of about 3,500. It has an "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide. The frame and barrel are matching, but we believe the barrel may have been re-numbered. The serial number on the slide has been ground but was reapplied with an electro pencil on the right (very faint). The locking block is mismatched. The gun has retained roughly 65-70% of its high polish bluing. The finish loss is concentrated mostly on the barrel. There are also light scratches on the slide, general high edge wear, and dulling on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct dark brown phenolic grips and comes with an un-proofed magazine. The bore has decent rifling but shows obvious pitting throughout. De-cocker is not functional.
