Description
10/22/25 - This is a rare Walther Mod HP that originally manufactured to be sold in the commercial market in the 1940's. The gun is all matching, and the serial number is in the correct serial range for these commercial guns but also in an overlapping serial range for a possible military divert gun. Military divert examples would have a single "Eagle 359" proof on the right side of the slide. This one has a depression in the metal exactly where the military proof would be, leading us to believe it is certainly possible that someone ground this proof off and that it is in fact a military divert pistol. Of course, we can't say for sure. In any case, the gun has been completely re-blued with very minor high edge wear. It is currently fitted with a set of reproduction wood grips, but it comes with a spare set of period-correct reddish particle phenolic grips. Comes with a "Waffen 135" proofed Mauser magazine. The bore has great rifling with just minor frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
