Description
3/17/26 - This is a rare "480 Code" Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1940. It has the proper "Eagle 359" military proofs throughout. The frame, slide, barrel, and locking block were all matching and numbered "881", but appears someone stamped over the numbers on the barrel and frame to make them numbered "480". The serial number on the slide is mostly buffed away and barely visible. The left side of the frame shows an "Eagle BH" marking, indicating it was issued to the Austrian military after WW2. The gun has been completely refinished with wear concentrated mostly around the muzzle and on the high edges, with some areas of pin-pricking here and there, brown patina on the front strap, and some minor pitting around the muzzle and on the front edges of the slide. Fitted with black plastic grips - scratching on both sides, and the area around the slide release is slightly shaved. Comes with a refinished and pitted "Eagle 359" marked Walther magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout. Import mark on the underside of the barrel.
