2/23/26 - For sale is an all matching "ac 44" Walther P.38 made with a FN manufactured frame. In order to keep up with production, Walther contracted P.38 frames through the FN factory up until its take-over by allied forces. These frames were then used to manufacture a small number of Walther P.38's in 1944 and 1945. This is one of ~7000 such examples that were produced. This gun is 1944 dated and has the Walther "Eagle 359" proofs on the slide of the gun. It has the FN "Eagle 140" proof on the left side of the frame by the serial number. The bluing on the gun rates at roughly 80-85%. It looks like the blued finish was completely stripped off of the safety lever, the top plate, and the rear sight. The finish is intact otherwise except for a spot on the forward left slide and general high edge wear. The gun has excellent bakelite grips. The left grip has a small dent at the bottom of the grip. This P.38 has a "jvd" "E/WaA706" magazine. Decocker is functional. The gun comes with an excellent black pebble grain holster that is waffen proofed and dated to 1944.
