Description
4/1/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger issued to the German police during the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. This one is matching, has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws), and has an added police sear safety, and it cut for a police magazine safety. It comes as a rig with a 1940-dated brown leather holster (markings are very faint), a blank bottom WW2-era magazine, a blank tool, and a period-correct but mismatched "Eagle 6" marked Simson magazine. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its original bluing with obvious finish loss and light brown patina on the grip straps and areas of wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and along the side rails. Fitted with mint wood grips - both are matching-numbered and "Eagle 6" proofed. Very nice bore with good rifling.
