Description
3/20/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger issued to the German police during the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. This one is matching, has an installed police sear safety, and has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws). It comes with a period-correct but mismatched "Eagle 6" marked Simson magazine. The gun has retained roughly 75% of its original bluing. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps (where there is also some spotty patina), but there is also general high edge wear and some scratches on the side plate. Fitted with excellent wood grips - the right side is numbered and matching, and the left side is mismatched and Imperial-proofed. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting in the grooves.
