Description
4/1/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. This one is matching and has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws). It comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. The gun has retained somewhere about 92% of its original bluing with a few noticeable spots of wear/discoloration. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are some areas of noticeable pitting, most obvious on the side plate, side rails, and grip straps. Light brown patina on the grip straps as well. Fitted with excellent wood grips - both are matching-numbered and "Eagle 6" proofed. Very nice bore with good rifling.
