Rare, Weimar-Era Simson Luger Rig - Undated "S" Toggle

4/1/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. This particular gun is even rarer because it is one of the undated "S" code variants (meaning it has a blank toggle and an "S" on the toggle), one of only about 1,000 made. It is matching and has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws). It comes as a rig with one mismatched but period-correct Simon-proofed magazine, a WW2-Era RZM-marked leather belt, "Eagle 83" marked tool, and a WW2 era holster (the proofs are extremely faint, the only visible marking being a droop wing eagle). The gun has retained about 93% of its original finish with very minor high edge wear, muzzle wear, some dulling on the grip straps, and some mall handling marks here and there. Fitted with minty wood grips - both are matching-numbered and "Eagle 6" proofed. The bore shows obvious pin-pricking throughout.
