Description
4/22/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. All numbered parts are matching (rear toggle pin is un-numbered) and has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws). It comes with a period-correct but mismatched Simson magazine. The gun has retained roughly 80% of its original bluing. There is general high edge and muzzle wear, but the most noticeable areas of finish and brown patina are on the grip straps and left side of the frame. Some pitting on the left side of the frame as well. There is a repaired crack in the takedown lever. Fitted with matching-numbered and "Eagle 6" proofed grips. The bore shows pitting throughout, and there is a dent on the left side of the barrel that is visible in the bore.
