Description
4/16/26 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the Weimar Era. There were only ~12,000 Simson Lugers produced in total. Because Simson was a Jewish-owned company, it was forcibly taken over by the Nazi regime in the early 1930s as part of the broader process of Aryanization, marking the end of its role in Luger production. All numbered parts are matching (rear toggle pin is un-numbered) and has the proper Simson proofs throughout (even on the grip screws). It comes with a period-correct but mismatched Simson magazine. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. The most noticeable areas of finish loss are around the muzzle, on the side plate, and around the high edges. There is light freckling and minor pitting here and there, most noticeable along the barrel and on both sides of the gun. Noticeable brown patina on the grip straps and a few scratches on the front strap. Fitted with matching-numbered and "Eagle 6" proofed grips. The bore shows pitting throughout. The front sight blade has an added brass extension.
